Helping students with learning disabilities is a time consuming process and takes more than one tutoring session.
Tutoring fees are $35 per hour with a minimum of 8 sessions. We require payment of $280 for the 8 sessions before the first tutorial. We typically recommend one hour per week for each student but some students do require more. Please read the cancellation policy.
Tutoring expenses are eligible for the disability support deduction. The guidelines from the Canada Revenue Agency state “Tutoring services that are supplementary to the primary education of a person with a learning disability or an impairment in mental functions, and paid to a person in the business of providing these services to individuals who are not related to the person. A medical practitioner must certify in writing that these services are necessary.”
When do we tutor?
Typically students who require our services are in school during the day so most of our sessions are from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Summer Program: Monday-Thursday mornings; 9:00 am-12:00 pm. This program includes literacy-based learning, snack and activity, and math-based learning. $80.00 per day (includes HST).
Various morning mini camps of one, two or three days. Topics: typing (keyboard skills for quicker story and report writing); times tables (fun games to learn and practice the times tables); handwriting; money and time. These are just some of the practical skills your child can learn this summer.
During the Summer tutors will be available for the hourly tutoring sessions 4 pm-8 pm.
